COLLEGIATE MANAGEMENT, ADVISORY, AND SPECIALIZED BODIES

Within the National Museum of Art of Moldova, the following advisory bodies and specialized commissions operate:

Administrative Council
The Administrative Council is a collegiate management body responsible for analyzing the progress of major works undertaken within the museum, proposing investment priorities, approving the implementation of the investment plan and the capital repair plan, and analyzing safety, security, and fire protection measures.

  • The council consists of 7 members appointed by the Director General's Order, led by a president and assisted by a secretary.
  • The council meets quarterly for regular sessions or as needed for extraordinary sessions.

Scientific Council
The Scientific Council is a collegiate advisory body responsible for formulating strategies for scientific activities related to the documentation, conservation, restoration, research, and enhancement of the museum's heritage. It proposes research themes and directions and approves scientific research plans and publication programs.

  • The council consists of 9 members appointed by the Director General's Order at the proposal of the Deputy Scientific Director.
  • Meetings are held every two months or as needed for extraordinary sessions.

Restoration Council
The Restoration Council is a specialized body responsible for studying and approving proposed treatments for art restoration, planning restoration processes according to the annual and quarterly restoration programs, and analyzing and approving works post-restoration.

  • The council consists of 7 members appointed by the Director General's Order at the proposal of the Restoration Section Head.
  • Meetings are held quarterly or as needed for extraordinary sessions, with representatives from the museum's management present.

Funds and Acquisitions Council
This council is a specialized body responsible for studying and proposing the re-evaluation of artworks in the museum's collections when necessary, as well as analyzing and evaluating artworks acquired through donation, purchase, or transfer.

  • The council consists of 7 members appointed by the Director General's Order at the proposal of the Deputy Heritage Director, selected from curators and collection managers.

Other Specialized Commissions
Other specialized commissions, appointed by the Director General's Order at the proposal of responsible individuals, include:

  • Cultural Property and Fixed Assets Inventory Commissions
  • Decommissioning Commission
  • Capital Repairs Reception Commission

These bodies operate under the museum's Statute, Organizational and Operational Regulation, and applicable legal provisions in the field.

The activities of these management, advisory, and specialized bodies ensure the smooth operation and development of the National Museum of Art of Moldova.
