The National Museum of Art of Moldova

The National Museum of Art of Moldova was founded in a historical context marked by the need to preserve and promote the artistic and cultural heritage of Bessarabia. The initial collections, consisting of only 161 works, reflected both the lack of a dedicated art space and the aspiration to establish a landmark museum for the community.
