On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at 16.00, the National Museum of Art of Moldova will inaugurate the personal exhibition of the plastic artist Tudor Zbârnea, General Director of the National Museum of Art of Moldova. The exhibition brings together 30 paintings, made during 2013-2020.

Born on December 29, 1955 in Nisporeni, Republic of Moldova, visual artist Tudor Zbârnea is a graduate of the IE Repin Republican School of Fine Arts in Chisinau and the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iasi, Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Teacher's Class Corneliu Ionescu
Tudor Zbârnea, from the beginning of his career, built his artistic profile, becoming a strong individuality. The artist tenaciously built his own visual approach, in which several aesthetic and imagistic stages are distinguished. Painting, for him, remains a form of artistic research, at the same time, permanently preserving the expressive function of color, he creates a painting oriented towards a problematic focused on an existential dimension.
He made his debut in 1984 in a republican exhibition of contemporary art organized in Chisinau, since this year he participates in almost all official exhibitions organized by the Ministry of Culture and the U.A.P. from the Republic of Moldova, in the country and abroad. Since 1992 he participates in a series of exhibitions organized by the Union of Visual Artists in Romania.
During his artistic career, Tudor Zbârnea represents the Republic of Moldova abroad in multiple Symposiums and International Art Salons, where he is distinguished by a strong individual pictorial discourse (Belgium, Belarus, Czech Republic, Cyprus, China, Kazakhstan, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine).
The artist's creation being appreciated in the press and literature by prestigious art critics and art historians from the Republic of Moldova, Romania and abroad: Constantin Ciobanu, Tudor Stăvilă, Tudor Braga, Ludmila Toma, (Republic of Moldova) Dan Grigorescu, Adrian Silvan Ionescu, Marin Gherasim , Tudor Octavian, Pavel Șușară, Valentin Ciucă, Gheorghe Macarie, Maria Bilașevschi, Petru Bejan, Iolanta Malamen, Aurel Chiriac, Negoiţă Lăptoiu, Petre Popescu-Gogan, (Romania) Barîs Krapak, Victor Kovalev (Belarus), Alberto Bolzonella, Ombretta Frezza (Italy) and. a. His name being included in various dictionaries, encyclopedias, monographs, textbooks and art albums.
