Maria Saca-Răcilă anniversary exhibition

Thursday, January 28, 2021, 16:00 The National Museum of Art of Moldova will inaugurate the anniversary exhibition Maria Saca-Răcilă - painting, tapestry. The exhibition will present works from the collections of the National Museum of Art of Moldova, as well as from the artist's family collection.

Maria Saca-Răcilă was born on February 11, 1941 in the village of Drăgănești, Bălți County.

In the years 1955 - 1961 he studied at the Republican School of Fine Arts '' I. Repin ’’ from Chisinau, Artistic Tapestry specialty. After graduation, she was assigned to the Carpet Factory in Straseni as a painter. In 1964 - 1965 he worked as a Methodist painter at the Republican House of Popular Creation. In 1965 he became a trainee member of the UAP of Moldova, and in 1968 he became a full member of the UAP of Moldova.

Since 1962 he participates in multiple republican, union and foreign exhibitions: Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Sweden, France, Mongolia, Norway, USA, Canada, India, Cyprus, Japan, Algeria.

The artist's works are kept in the collections of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova, the National Museum of Art of Moldova, the Onisifor Ghibu Library in Chisinau and multiple private collections in Moldova, Sweden, Canada, France, USA.

The artist's creation was mentioned with: Bronze Medal at the Exhibition of National Economic Achievements (Moscow, 1966), Second Prize at the Exhibition "Molodosti stranî" (Moscow, 1976), Honorary Title ,, Man Emeritus of Arts from the Moldovan SSR (1987) ), Medal "Civic Merit" (1996), National Award of the Republic of Moldova (1998), Award for Excellence of the UAP (2007), Award of the Ministry of Culture (2008).
