Glebus Sainciuc-100 years from birth

 Inaugurates the commemorative exhibition " Glebus Sainciuc-100 years from birth”
     The exhibition presents 100 masks from papier-mache from the private collection of the artist's family as well as painting and graphic works from the patrimony of the National Museum of Art Of Moldova
Glebus Sainciuc hid on July 19, 1919 in Chisinau. The artist fully manifested himself as a portrait artist. It is also appreciated for its impressive collection of masks from papier mache, about 300 units. Author of several works of painting and graphics, they were appreciated by other high-ranking critics due to the originality of the style and the talent to play the essence of the characters.                         
Personal exhibitions in Chisinau, Baku, Moscow, Odessa, Lvov, Iaşi, Tashkent, Cluj-Napoca, Piatra Neamt, in France and Belgium fascinated both the general public and art critics. The works of the master were present in group exhibitions in Moscow (Russian Federation), Sofia (Bulgaria), Montreal (Canada) and Paris (France). 
 And the artistic value was recognized by the high state awards and certificates of honour, Honourable Master of Art (1976), the honorary title of People's Artist of the Republic of Moldova (1991), knight of the Order of the Republic (1999), doctor honoris causa of the Academy of Sciences of the republic of Moldova (2009). 
The works of Glebus Sainciuc are found in museum collections from the Republic Of Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation and private collections from France, USA, Germany, CIS, New Zealand and Sweden. 
 The artist stopped living on October 16, 2012 in Chisinau. 
The exhibition will remain open to the public from 5 July to 8 September, 2019
