Women in the Polish poster

Wednesday, July 3, 2019, 16.00 National Museum of Art Of Moldova, in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Bucharest will inaugurate the exhibition " Women in the Polish poster »
       The posters that make up the exhibition were chosen in the context of the 2018 celebration of women's rights year in Poland. The exhibition, carried out on the basis of the largest collections of Polish a particular poster, more than 40 of the thousands of works by Krzysztof Dydo in-depth knowledge of the art of the poster and owner of a gallery in Warsaw, brings together forty works by famous artists of Polish. Among the authors of the posters presented are the precursors of the Polish School of posters, such as Waldemar Świerzy, Jan Młodożeniec or Franciszek Starowieyski. Works by creators of the younger generation can also be seen, among them women such as Kaja Renkas, Patrycja Longawa, Starowicz Monika or Amelia Marcelina occupy an important place.
     The exhibition offers the possibility to know the diversity of themes and styles in the Polish poster at the end of XX and the beginning of XXI century, which, despite the domination exercised by electronic media, continues to remain in the faithful service of cultural events. It is also in the context of the celebration of the Year of women's Rights, proclaimed by the Polish parliament on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Polish women's full voting rights.
The exhibition can be visited from 3 July to 4 august, 2019
